Aerospace Conference
- (For Explorers.) At NASA in Sunnyvale. You must be at least 13 years old.
Arrow of Light
- The highest Cub Scout Award. Requirements.
- The Stanford Arrow of Light Weekend has the form of a Cub Parent Weekend: Cub scouts of all ages (including Tiger Cubs) are welcome and participate in activities.

Pinewood Derby
- Cub Scout - wooden car race.
The district pinewood derby is for cars (and boys) which won their category at their pack's race. (Tiger Cubs: verify first whether your district allows Tiger Cubs at its race).

- Whenever the word planning makes it into the council calendar, this
makes it a leader only event. (Although, parents will never be excluded.)

- Cub Scout PowWow: Cub
Scout leader training extravaganza and idea exchange. Participants can
choose from lots and lots of topics helpful for planning Cub Scout events.

Provisional Troop
- A troop made for a special occasion. E.g. a troop for boys which
attend camp on their own because they can't attend camp with their regular
troop.
Troops attending a jamboree are typically provisional troops.
Recharter
- Each unit designates leaders to present updated paperwork to the council.
Recognition Dinner
- On recognition dinners at district or council level we usually recognize leaders, spouses and a few very special boys.

- Good turn event: Bags for canned food are distributed and collected
the next week. 1997 our council collected 70,000 pounds of canned goods.

- A program for Boys who are 14 through 20 years of age. Units are Venturing Crews. Don't confuse Venturing Crews with a Venture Patrol.

- Troops mentor Webelos Scouts in the Cub Scout to Scout transition thru activities, exhibits and competitions. (4th and 5th grade Webelos)
