Stanford District Mailing Lists

These mailing lists are open; anybody can sign in.  We expect the people visiting roundtables to sign up.
Because signup for unit leaders is almost mandatory (to get announcements), we ask for restraint in posting messages. Only announcements relative to Stanford district may be posted. We keep the right to unsubscribe or ban people who misuse the lists even once.

While the lists are aimed at adults, no messages inappropriate for children may be posted.

How to join the mailing lists:

If you have an account at yahoogroups (or want to sign up):

Go to the "Archive and list home" link. Sign-up via the web.

If you don't care about yahoogroops:.

Send an email to the "subscribe" address. (Contents doesn't matter, the message is used to get your e-mail address)
You will receive a reply which gives you more information. To finally sign up you need to reply to that "reply". (This indirection allows check that your e-mail address is valid and yours).

 

To unsubscribe, send e-mail to the "unsubscribe" address. Like for the subscription, you will receive a reply to verify you are doing it yourself.

Privacy

While yahoogroups may collect personal information, (for just signing up to the lists) we do not. Your e-mail address will be known to the moderators of the list. However if you do post a message, your e-mail address will be exposed.

Given the size of the district we do not have the possibility of knowing all members; therefore we keep these list open.
