The Crows Lament
From the 1995 Crow Patrol
The Crow's Lament
I came up here to Wood Badge, to learn the B.P. ways,
But since I've started training, I haven't slept for days.
There's no time for a shower or a visit to the can,
So I'm going back to Gilroy in my van.
(Chorus)
Back to Gilroy in my van.
I'm going to escape while I can.
I used to be a daddy and a good old daddy too.
But since I've started Wood Badge, I don't know what to do.
My spouse said, "Here's your daddy", and the kids said, "Daddy who?"
So I'm going back to Gilroy in my van.
(Chorus)
I used to have a job and a good job it was too.
But since I've started Woodbage, my boss thinks I've the flu.
I haven't missed this much work, since I was twenty-two.
So I'm going back to Gilroy in my van.
(Chorus)
I used to be a Scoutmaster; they all thought I was swell.
But since I went to Wood Badge, they'd like to put me down a well.
Everyone now calls me, the "Scoutmaster from Hell".
So I'm going back to Gilroy in my van.
(Chorus)
I've got a real good family, but they've gotten really sore.
For with my Wood Badge training, I've become a crashing bore.
I've tried to organize them and they showed me to the door.
So I'm going back to Gilroy in my van.
(Chorus)
