Blue and Gold Dinner

The evening got off to a slow start, but turned out to be a success. The decorations were great, and the pizza was worth the wait. The Happy Bird show was fantastic! Many thanks to David M. for organizing it, and to Cy W. for doing the decorations. It was also great to see two of our Tiger Cubs there!

Awards

Congratulations to Alex F., Daniel M., Nathan P. and Adam W. for earning their Geologist and Artist badges. Jimmy B., Noel C., Tim D., Zachary H., Kevin R. and Zachary R. (no relation to the bird) all earned their Showman badges. Justin S. received badges for Showman and Fitness. Welcome to Andrew O., a new Bear Cub who earned his Bobcat badge. Joshua M. amazed everyone by earning his Bear badge and two arrow points already. Great job!

Minature Golf Field Trip

Our golf field trip was really great! Dave K. managed to arrange dry and sunny weather on an otherwise wet weekend. We had a good crowd, with quite a few people playing two rounds. From what I saw, the kids were teaching the parents a few tricks.

Pinewood Derby

Workshop March 14, 1-3 PM. Weigh-in on March 20. Races on March 21. See David H's flyer for the rules and some suggestions, or call him. We could still use some help with the festivities.

pile of money

Friends of Scouting

We reached 75% of our goal at the Blue and Gold Dinner. If we can collect that last 25% we will get a discount at the Scout store. We spend about $10.00 per scout at the store each year, for books, Pinewood Derby cars and awards.

Joke of the Month

A man driving home from work got a call from his wife on the cell phone. "Be careful, dear. I heard on the news that a driver is going the wrong way on the freeway", she said. He replied "Yeah, but it's not just one, there's hundreds of them!"
