Boy Scout Demo |
Boy Scout Troop 5 gave us a demonstration of various camping skills at the April Pack meeting. They covered knots, tent pitching, emergency rescue, cooking and cleanup. The Cub Scouts always enjoy this visit, and it went very smoothly this year. The Boy Scouts managed the rotation very well, and the cleanup was so easy we were finished early. Many thanks to Troop 5 for helping our pack go.

Awards |
Joshua M. got a silver arrow point, and Adam W. and Alex F. got Citizen Webelos Activity pins. Nathan P., Daniel M., Ian H., Jimmy B, Zachary H., Justin S. and Kevin R. all earned their Webelos badges. Most also got some activity pins at the same time. What a great crop of hard-working Webelos we have! We are all proud of them.

Scout-O-Rama |
Scout-O-Rama is an opportunity for all the Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops and other scout groups to get together and have some fun. Each group gets a booth area to host an activity of some sort. We are going to be doing leatherwork, as we have for the past few years. We will have supplies and tools for people to decorate and assemble key fobs, coin purses and other small items from leather. Please stop by (in uniform) at Foothill College between 10 and 4 on May 15 to see our booth and all the others. Park in Lot C or be prepared to pay.

June Picnic Meeting |
The June 8 pack meeting will be a transition into the summer meetings. We will have a regular meeting with awards and all, but the main activity will be a group game or two and we will have a picnic dinner first. Please bring your dinner to eat with us at 6:00 PM outside the Palo Verde MP room. We will have some barbecues going for those who want to grill something. The regular meeting will begin at 7:00, as usual.
