Summer Meetings

treasure chest

We had a couple of great meetings this summer, thanks to David H. and Dave K. We met outside at Palo Verde and played games. In July the boys played soccer and Ultimate Frisbee, and in August we had a really good treasure hunt followed by a game of Ultimate Football.

Awards

There were no awards given out at the summer meetings, but there were some earned! The pack earned the National Summertime Pack Award for having 3 good summer meetings. Chris K., Joshua M., John B., Tim D. and Justin S. will be receiving the National Sumertime Award pins for attending all three summer meetings.

Adult Volunteers Needed

Here is a list of the positions we need to fill this year. We expect each family to help with one pack-level event per year. Please do your part to help make this a quality program for everyone! Talk to any leader for more information on these jobs.
Tiger Cub Coordinator
Wolf Den Leader (maybe 2, even)
Scouting for Food Organizer (in November)
Friends of Scouting Chair (fundraising in Jan)
Blue and Gold Banquet Chair (February)
Scout-O-Rama Chair (May)
Field Trip Organizers (Dec, Jan, Feb or whenever)
Pinewood Derby Committee (March)

This year we also need a new Committee Chair and a new Cubmaster, since Don Danielson and I will both be moving on to Boy Scouts in March.

Jokes of the Month

Father: Don't you think our son gets all his brains from me?
Mother: Probably. I still have all mine.

Cub Scout: Is there an English word that's seven letters long and has three *u's* in it?
Den Leader: If there is, it would be unusual!
